Au pair is a French term that means 'Equal to'.
For GlobalAupair it refers to equal sharing between Au pairs and the host families.

The cultural exchange programme that we offer for Au pairs and host families is one of the best experience that both parties receive as far as learning other culture and language is concerned.

Au pair is a young girl or boy between 18-28 years old, willing to visit a foreign Country to learn a foreign language, foreign culture and assist his/her host family by looking after the children and doing some light household.

Au pair is not a cleaning employee or a housemaid!!

Normally, the Au pair must be able to express his/herself in a foreign language spoken at the host country and by the host family too.
Au pairs get an opportunity to visit a language at a foreign country where their host families are located.
They are provided with an extra bedroom, food, medical insurance and pocket money by the Host family.

In return, they take care of the Host family's children and perform some light household.
They should work 5-6 hours per day in a week at a maximum total 30 working hours a week.
In case of working more hours than stated on the Au pair contract, they should be compensated with free time or extra money per hour.

Every Host country differs with Au pair requirements based on legal documents to be issued with the right work permits and visas where needed.
